MBM stands for “music business mindset”.
Plain language + inspiration for the music business
By this I mean that you have a clear goal, act strategically and give your vision top priority.
My MBM coaching is all about developing goals and paths with you and sharpening your focus in the process so that you have clarity and direction at all times.
MBM coaching from COLDKINGS aims to help you build and expand your life as an ambitious artist so that you can find your own path and walk it with confidence.
More and more acts want to retain control over their music and their brand. However, sooner or later they are faced with many difficult questions:
First of all, my incentive is definitely not to fabricate you according to a predefined model so that I can conveniently deliver you to the entertainment industry. Rather, our goal will be for you to know at every moment what is right for you, which projects suit you and take you further, who your audience should be. How and where you can reach them.
In my experience, real success only comes when you stand by your dreams and approach them with a “business mindset”.
“Business mindset” means that you work with the music business instead of against it. If you know the rules, you can set yourself up in a way that works for you!
“Business mindset” means that you take yourself seriously and really pour your heart and soul into your dream. You stand by your vision and give it top priority!
“Business mindset” also means that you actively work towards success instead of dreaming about it. You start to convince others that collaborating with you will benefit everyone involved!
Finally, “business mindset” is also the philosophy that you exchange instead of demanding. If you help others with their tasks, they will want to help you with yours!
Your skills are already top, and that is the basis of your success. But it's not enough.
In the digital age, independent artists are also responsible for all tasks besides music. You have to make administrative and budgetary management decisions on a daily basis.
But your time and resources are not infinite. Without a goal, strategy and focus, you will sooner or later burn out or end up in a dead end.
The difference between stars and one-hit wonders is that some stay while others disappear. Professionals know that they have to have staying power to get to the top and stay there. That's why they develop strategies that emphasize their individual and personal strengths.
