Seit ihren ersten Live-Auftritten 2017, hat BARANY ein hochgelobtes Studio-Album veröffentlicht («Lights Disappear», 2019) und damit breit Airplay erhalten, ist an begehrten Festivals mit internationalem Renommée aufgetreten (unter anderem Blue Balls, Zermatt Unplugged und Open Air Gampel) und hat Tourneen durch Deutschland gespielt. 2021 wurde BARANY für ihr Nirvana-Cover von «Heart-Shaped Box» an den Berlin Music Video Awards nominiert. Zu den internationalen Kollaborationen des begabten britisch-schweizerischen Kollektivs zählen die Produzenten Dan Austin aus UK (Massive Attack, Biffy Clyro) und re:dasein aus DE, sowie das Mastering-Mastermind Matt Colton aus UK (Thom Yorke, James Blake, Sampha). Nachdem BARANY im 2022 die Trip-Hop-Royalty Morcheeba auf ihrer EU-Tour supportet durften, erscheint am 13. Oktober 2023 endlich ihr neues Album "Nanztal", zusammen mit einer aufregenden multimedialen Co-Veröffentlichung "PROLOGUE" mit dem ästhetischen Seelenverwandten und Filmemacher Jonas Ruppen!

Since their first live gigs in 2017, BARANY has released a highly-acclaimed debut record, «Lights Disappear» (2019), played numerous festivals (Blue Balls, Zermatt Unplugged, and Openair Gampel, among others), and toured Germany. In 2021, they were nominated at the Berlin Music Video Awards for their cover version of Nirvana’s «Heart-shaped Box.» The gifted Swiss-British act’s international collaborations include producers Dan Austin (Massive Attack, Biffy Clyro) and re:dasein, as well as mastering mastermind Matt Colton (Thom Yorke, James Blake, Sampha). After supporting Trip-Hop royalty Morcheeba on their EU Tour in 2022, BARANY will finally release their new album “Nanztal” on 13th October 2023 along with an exciting co-release “PROLOGUE” with aesthetic soulmate and filmmaker Jonas Ruppen!

Depuis ses premiers concerts en 2017, BARANY a sorti un album studio très apprécié ("Lights Disappear", 2019) qui lui a valu un large airplay, s'est produit dans des festivals très convoités et de renommée internationale (entre autres Blue Balls, Zermatt Unplugged et Open Air Gampel) et a effectué des tournées en Allemagne. En 2021, BARANY a été nominé aux Berlin Music Video Awards pour sa reprise de "Heart-Shaped Box" de Nirvana. Parmi les collaborations internationales de ce talentueux collectif anglo-suisse figurent les producteurs Dan Austin du Royaume-Uni (Massive Attack, Biffy Clyro) et re:dasein d'Allemagne, ainsi que le maître d'œuvre Matt Colton du Royaume-Uni (Thom Yorke, James Blake, Sampha). Après avoir assuré la première partie de la tournée européenne de Morcheeba en 2022, BARANY sortira son nouvel album "Nanztal" le 13 octobre 2023, accompagné d'une coédition excitante "PROLOGUE" avec l'âme sœur esthétique et cinéaste Jonas Ruppen!

BARANY’s neues Album NANZTAL hat die Kraft und den Willen, die Zeit rückwärts laufen zu lassen, wenn es wollte. Aber hier ist das Ding: Ihr neues Album berührt gerade deshalb, weil sich Frontfrau & musikalischer Mastermind Tanya Zimmermann auf den Lauf der Dinge eingelassen hat. «The only way out is through», wird sie sich gedacht haben, als sie ihre Lebensthemen direkt herausforderte und ihnen 10 verstörend schöne Lieder über Heimat, Einsamkeit und Neuausrichtung entrang. Es lässt sich zusammenfassen: BARANYs Welt öffnet sich denen, die sich rückwärts hineinfallen lassen.

BARANY's new album NANZTAL has the power and will to make time run backwards if it wanted to. But here's the thing: their new album deeply touches precisely for the reason that frontwoman & musical mastermind Tanya Zimmermann has let herself go through the motions. "The only way out is through," she will have thought to herself as she challenged her life issues head-on and formed 10 disturbingly beautiful songs about home, loneliness and realignment from them. To sum it up: BARANY's world opens up to those who let themselves fall backwards into it.

Le nouvel album de BARANY, NANZTAL, a la force et la volonté de faire marcher le temps à l'envers s'il le voulait. Mais voici la chose : leur nouvel album touche justement parce que la frontwoman & le maître d'œuvre musical Tanya Zimmermann a accepté de suivre le cours des choses.
